Nevillewood Rules & Regulations

Members and their guests are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the below guidelines that help make The Club at Nevillewood western Pennsylvania’s premier private club experience

An integral part of this policy is the expectation that members, their families and guests will always be neatly attired.

  • Dress Code in Clubhouse, Upper & Lower Patios
    • Proper attire is required during business hours in the Clubhouse and Upper and Lower Patios. The dress code applies to all Members, guests and children over the age of 13. The Board of Directors has instructed management staff to enforce the dress code as appropriate.

Typical attire for men includes collared, turtle neck and mock neck shirts tucked in, slacks, neat jeans* and golf-length shorts. Flat bottom hemmed shirts are allowed to be untucked. Typical attire for women includes slacks, dresses, skirts, golf-length shorts, skorts, capris, neat jeans* and shirts/blouses with or without a collar.

Dress sandals are permitted, but sneakers and plastic/pool flip-flops are not. Athletic wear such as tee shirts, cargo pants, sweat shorts, swim suits or coveralls, tank tops, shirts without collars and sweat pants are also not permitted.  Men are requested to remove their hats upon entering the Clubhouse, other than the locker room and Golf Shoppe, on the Upper Patio and while dining on the Lower Patio after 6:00 PM.

      * Jeans must be of solid color and in excellent condition. Jeans that are washed out, tattered, torn or have holes, stains, letters or labels are not permitted.

  • Dress Code on the Golf Course and Practice Areas
    • Proper golf attire is required on all days and at all times on the golf course and practice areas. The dress code applies to all members, guests and children. Appropriate golf footwear is required on the golf course and practice areas. Metal spikes are not permitted anywhere on the premises. The Board of Directors has instructed the professional staff to enforce the dress code as appropriate.

Men: Typical golf attire is a golf shirt and long pants or long (Bermuda length) shorts. Golf shirts must have a traditional, mock or turtleneck collar and must be tucked in. Caps are to be worn brim forward. Cargo shorts, denim fabrics, and swim attire are not permitted.

Women: Typical attire is a golf shirt with slacks, golf shorts, skirts, skorts or capris. Golf shirts may be with or without sleeves and with or without a collar. • Golf Rules & Regulations
    • In order that you fully enjoy your visit, please acquaint yourself with our customs and traditions.

      1. The use of cellular phones and other electronic communications devices are permitted in the locker rooms, clubhouse lobby, parking lot, halfway house and golf shoppe. Use is not permitted in any dining areas, the golf course or practice areas.

      2. Our dress code requires collared shirts or mock turtlenecks, slacks or shorts. Gentlemen are required to remove their hats on the second and third floors. While it is impossible to list every type of clothing that is permissable, most attire that is sold in golf shops is generally accepted.

      3. All indoor areas are smoke free. Smoking is permitted outside, but not within 10 feet of any door or outdoor eating area.

      4. Members and Guests are expected to play a round of golf in four hours and fifteen minutes or less. Please be ready to play at all times, pick up if you are out of the hole and putt continuously when appropriate.

      5. If you are driving a cart, please follow all directional signs and use cart paths when designated to do so. Carts are to stay on the cart paths on all par 3 holes. Please be especially careful to NOT drive in the tall fescue grasses. The responsible operation of golf carts will help preserve the pristine condition of our playing surfaces.

      6. Properly raked bunkers are essential to the playability of Nevillewood. Even if you are playing a late afternoon or evening round, it is necessary to rake the bunkers before proceeding. Please knock the sand off your shoes when exiting a greenside bunker before walking on the green.

      7. If your group is approached by a club employee about pace of play, please do whatever is necessary to keep up with the group in front of you.

      8. By adhering to these important traditions, we believe everyone's Nevillewood golfing experience will be enhanced.

Thank you, and enjoy your time here at The Club at Nevillewood!
